Zombies are corpses which have been plucked from their graves and cursed to serve as puppets for their masters. Being reanimated does not seem to prevent their bodies from decaying, however, and these wretched creatures hate the light of day as well as holy magic. Only the most heinous of criminals should be subject to this terrible fate, which has long been a form of corporal punishment. But unfortunately the secrets of reanimation have become known to others not interested in only punishing the guilty and their reckless creation of zombies is why we are so plagued by these monsters today.
