Chronicle Battle: Ifrit Strategy[]

I Have managed to win within 2 turns on all of the lvl (Including lvl 10) here is how:

-Cloud(FFVII:AC) (7*) -[NV] Gilgamesh (1/3 NV Awakened) (Light Sword) -Awakened Warrior of Light (7*) -[NV Cobalt Blade Noctis] (0/3 Awakened) -Elena (7*) Helper: [NV Cobalt Blade Noctis] (1/3 Awakened)

Turn 1: -Cloud > Triple cast + Helios Break + 3rd Fusion Sword + 1st Fusion Sword (SR Chaining) -Gilgamesh > Triple cast + Secret Sword Art - Excalipoor + Tri-Attack + Tri-Attack (SR Chaining) -WoL > Light is with us! II -CB Noctis > Armiger Unleashed (1/40). -Elena > Triple cast + Luminous Enervation + Blade of the Heavens + Blade of the Heavens (SR Chaining) -CB Noctis #2 > Warp-Strike

Turn 2: -Cloud > Triple cast + Helios Break + 3rd Fusion Sword + 1st Fusion Sword (SR Chaining) -Gilgamesh > Triple cast + Tri-Attack + Tri-Attack + Tri-Attack (SR Chaining) -WoL > Light is with us! II -CB Noctis > Triple Ability + Warp Light + Royal Cleave (lv.5) + Royal Cleave (lv.5) (SR Chaining) -Elena > Triple cast + Blade of the Heavens + Blade of the Heavens + Blade of the Heavens (SR Chaining) -CB Noctis #2 > Warp-Strike

General Tips and my team[]

Some generic advice for this battle:

  • A good DEF breaker. The best bet here is one that can chain with your chainers. Find good breakers here.
  • Good physical chainers. See Chaining if you aren't sure who can chain. If you have some NV units that can chain, see if you can find a breaker that can chain with them.

The team I used was a Chaining/Stardust Ray chain group.

I assigned a few units with Spirit Slayer and set their Espers to Bahamut 3-star★ and Carbuncle 3-star★ for their Spirit Slayer and Leviathan 3-star★ for Spirit Killer+.

Using Lunafreya's Double Oracle I used Covenant of the Hydraean and Benevolence of the Gods (for the 180% stat increase). If you don't have a 7-star★ Lunafreya you can use Light of Purity (130% stat increase).

With Gilgamesh I followed Kuroganashi (Kuro) advice and went with Triple Hero (?) Secret Sword Art - Excalipoor + Tri-Attack (x2)

For everyone else I just chose the highest power Chaining/Stardust Ray attacks.

I let Lunafreya's skill kick in and then ran the rest. Next round just chain again to finish.

Xeuxs' Ifrit LV10 3TKO[]

Lunafreya acts as your Water imbuer and mana battery, and Locke your breaker on the first turn. Then you just straight slam Ifrit with damage. Ifrit's attacks focused mainly on Locke who had a high dodge and Gilgamesh who was immune for fire damage, and the damage to others was negligible for the battle.

Turn 1:

  • Elena >> Speed of Light + Blade of the Heavens x3
  • Cloud >> Triple Limit + Focused Thrust x3
  • Gilgamesh >> Triple Hero (?) + Tri-Attack x3
  • Locke >> Triple Edge + Full Break Chain + Aqua Edge x2
  • Lunafreya >> Double Oracle + Covenant of the Hydraean + Benevolence of the Gods
  • Noctis >> Triple Ability + Legacy of the Lucii + Royal Cleave x2

Turn 2:

  • Elena >> Speed of Light + Blade of the Heavens x3
  • Cloud >> Triple Limit + Focused Thrust x3
  • Gilgamesh >> Triple Hero (?) + Tri-Attack x3
  • Locke >> Triple Edge + Aqua Edge x3
  • Lunafreya >> Double Oracle + Trident of the Oracle + Light of Aid
  • Noctis >> Triple Ability + Legacy of the Lucii + Royal Cleave x2

Turn 3:

  • Elena >> Speed of Light + Blade of the Heavens x3
  • Cloud >> Triple Limit + Focused Thrust x3
  • Gilgamesh >> Triple Hero (?) + Tri-Attack x3
  • Locke >> Triple Edge + Aqua Edge x3
  • Lunafreya >> Double Oracle + Light of Restoration + Light of Aid
  • Noctis >> Triple Ability + Legacy of the Lucii + Royal Cleave x2

Chronicle Battle: Ifrit, Leviathan, MA-X Maniple (1TKO plan) w/ huge bonuses[]

Here's the essential cast:
NV Yoshikiri BS -- (sub with 7-star★ Rikku (FFX-2) for Leviathan and MA-X Maniple)
NV-A Prompto BS -- (finisher)
NV-A Nyx -- (debuffer + BS chainer)
NV-A Ignis BS -- (buffer + BS chainer)

Extra slot and friend unit options:
NV-A Gladiolus BS -- (BS chainer)
NV-A Prompto -- (BS chainer; or debuffer + BS chainer)
NV-A Prompto BS -- (second finisher because why not)
NV-A Ignis BS -- (BS chainer)
NV-A Nyx -- (BS chainer)
NV-A Nyx BS -- (BS chainer)
NV-A Aranea -- (BS chainer)
NV-A Aranea BS -- (BS chainer)

This 1TKO setup is not too difficult.
Nyx, geared for ATK, save one slot for Spirit Slayer.
War Preparations+: Bonecrusher - Helmsplitter X, Full-Force Edge Lv. 5, Full-Force Edge Lv. 5.

Ignis BS, geared for ATK, save one slot for Spirit Slayer.
Triple Strategy: Reinforcement Lv. 5, Spelldaggers - Ice, Spelldaggers - Ice.

Yoshikiri BS, geared for SPR.
Wombo Combo: Ice Scroll, Ninjutsu: Hakairyoku, Ninjutsu: Hakairyoku.
If you don't think you'll succeed in the 1TKO, then switch to this instead:
Two-Hit Combo: Ice Scroll, Ninpou: Bunshin.
(This will negate some enemy attacks so you can survive to finish on Round 2.)

Prompto BS, geared for dual-wield ATK, save one slot for Spirit Slayer. Leviathan esper with Spirit Killer+ trained.
Sagitta Rifle. Do not dualcast or triplecast.

• Extra bonus unit and bonus friend unit, geared for ATK, save one slot for Spirit Slayer:
If it's a second Prompto BS, then Sagitta Rifle. Do not dualcast or triplecast.
Any other unit: Triplecast whatever their BS move is.

#########
Strategically, here's what you're accomplishing:
• Bonecrusher - Helmsplitter X -- reduce enemy DEF by 85%.
• Reinforcement Lv. 5 -- boost all allies ATK by 250%.
• Ice Scroll -- add ice element to all allies, increase ice physical damage 15% to all allies, reduce ice resistance 120% to enemy.
• All BS moves -- chaining elemental ice damage.
• Sagitta Rifle -- 450x ice finisher to enemy, twice because of dual wield. Time this so both hits cap the chain.
Spirit Slayer and Leviathan to multiply fairy damage to Ifrit.
