Gameplay

  • In the Japanese version, Shadow Lord received his Latent Abilities during the release of his own Series Boss Battle. His Latent Abilities were integrated with his NV awakening in the Global version.
  • Shadow Lord received an upgrade for his TMR & STMR as of 6/24 PDT.

Default Attack Changes

  • The passive ability Ominous Memories permanently changes his default attack upon reaching the prerequisite unit rarity. This will override the unit from using a standard normal attack.

Trivia

  • Original main antagonist of Final Fantasy XI.
  • A version of him also appears as boss in Dynamis-Xarcabard. That version is referred to as the Dynamis Lord.
  • His real name is Raogrimm, Talekeeper of the Galka race. He lost to his rage (and the rage of the memories of the Galkan race which he carried) during an allied expedition to the north and later returned as Shadow Lord, leading the combined beastmen armies against the other races. He was defeated and sealed by the allied armies in the war roughly twenty years before the events of Final Fantasy XI.
