King Mog or Mog Minister will exchange various rewards for special currency within the event period. You can obtain this currency by defeating enemies inside the event vortex dungeon. Using the following bonus units will increase the amount of currency received in the vortex dungeon. The bonus is cumulative so you can use as many as you can, including one from a friend companion.

Tips

• See testimonials and discussions.
• Dragonlord deals lightning and fire magic damage as well as AoE silence on first turn, AoE sleep on second.
• Bonus enemies will appear with higher frequency the higher the stage is.
  • Gold Golem drops 500 currency on defeat. It doesn't appear on LGD.
  • Liquid Metal Slime drops 1000 currency on defeat. Liquid Metal Slime completely resists magical attack and only takes 1 damage per hit of physical attacks. Hybrid or unmitigated damage may do more than 1 damage, but use fixed damage like Metal Slash, sold by King Mog, or chain them to most effectively bring it down.
• Using many low level bonus units on LGD is difficult but possible with some gearing.
  • Escape on all regular battles, as they only drop 1 currency per enemy.
  • Befriend and use strong friend unit with high bonus.
  • Use two or more bonus units with Pod 153, and they will be able to produce high chain for the strong unit to finish.
  • Use Crazy Day for imperil if needed.
  • Use Rikku's Pouch to break and inflict status ailments. Alternatively, use World Destroyer or Toxic Rain.
  • Use Hero's Rhyme to give stats buff to party.
  • Use a source of Man-Eater for added damage against the boss.
