A type of sahagin. This creature, well-known for its purple body, has been often seen in colder regions in recent years. Once thought to have been a member of the sahagin species, they seem to have adapted to their new surroundings, so much so that now those that appear in the snowy mountains are weak to ocean water. Because of this, it is customary to carry around salt water in place of a normal charm when entering the territory of the merman, which can be effectively thrown at one should one appear. However, this doesn't work on merman from other areas.
