A large bear that lives in the forests and mountains. It has sharp claws and jutting jaw. The ipooh does not normally stray from its territory, but in lean years they have been known to wander into human villages. Despite a natural tendency to avoid conflict, when ipooh are driven by extreme hunger they will attack humans and animals alike. Some members of the upper class enjoy hunting ipooh for sport, thinking them a worthy target of their attention, and so there are endless tales of foolish young fops heading into the woods in their finest and only barely escaping with their lives.
