Just one example of a manmade object becoming possessed by a spirit after years and years of existence. These monsters were originally carvings from ancient ruins that were long ago abandoned by man. They are able to move under their own power, but they do not possess anything that we would normally describe as a mind. Rather they seem to inherit whatever feelings were most prominent among the original inhabitants of their ruins. Headstones that attack humans are thought to originate from the ruins of cruel societies whose ill wishes soaked even into the stone surrounding them.
