During his travels he meets a young woman named Anna, and although the two fall in love, her father Tellah refuses to approve of their union. Determined to be together, they decide to vanish without a trace and make their way to Damcyan. Sadly they are attacked by the Red Wings of Baron, who mean to steal the Fire Crystal, and Anna loses her life protecting Edward from harm.
