Earth crysts sometimes contain the fossilized remains of animals, and they have a shocking heft for their small size. With the power to leach toxic substances from the soil, they can help even the most blighted fields recover simply by being buried in the ground. This miraculous process takes time, however, and is hardly an overnight cure.
