A mercenary from Valsena who appears in tales of a faraway world where three evil forces scheme to gain the power of Mana. Although Duran is skilled enough with a blade to win a tournament, he can have a bit of a rough temper. He leaves on a journey to defeat the Crimson Wizard, to whom he lost in battle. After meeting Faerie, emissary of the Mana Goddess, he goes in search of the Sword of Mana to become the world's strongest swordsman. He holds his father in high esteem, who fell fighting the Dragon Lord.

Background Story
