Note that "Turn 1" for you is actually 2nd turn for Aldhafera because of its pre-emptive strike. Keep this in mind to predict its Snap in phase 1 and Wicked Claw Flash in phase 2.
Tips[]
- See testimonials and discussions.
- Aldhafera cannot be pushed under 49% in a single turn of phase 1. This is possible in phase 2.
- You can also use counter to reduce Aldhafera HP to 50% in phase 1, this way it will transform to phase 2 without healing itself. From there you can nuke it, bypassing phase 2.
- Snap deals massive single target physical damage. To deal with this:
- Use Mirage, Retreat Command, or Fenrir.
- Reraise on provoke tank. Be careful that on thresholds, its second Snap will hit another unit while your tank is reraising.
- Against pre-emptive Snap:
- Put your key units (tanks, healer) in reserve at the beginning of battle, or
- Use passive provoke, e.g. Draw Attacks and Moogle Plushie to force Snap on non-vital unit, or
- You can avoid the preemptive Snap entirely with Rico's Wingsuit on a unit built with passive provoke.
- Suggested roles:
- Damage dealers.
- Tanks (AoE physical for phase 1, AoE magic for phase 2).
- Source of dispels.
- Healers, buffers, breakers.
- Sources of elemental resistance (fire, ice, lightning, earth, wind, water) if don't plan to OTKO phase 2.
- Reraise as needed.
