Clash of Wills

Overview[]

Each Clash of Wills event features a challenging boss battle with 99 levels of difficulty, divided into several echelons. Players will start from the lowest echelon (excellent performance may allow players to start on higher levels during the next event) and will unlock higher levels and more dangerous forms with each victory.

To fight the boss, one Clash of Wills orb will be usded. You will gain one orb per hour, for a maximum of ten orbs. Orbs may be refreshed with 100 or by ranking up.

Completion Rewards are given out when a new level of difficulty is cleared. Clearing a higher level automatically grants the rewards of any remaining lower levels. Ranking is based on the highest score achieved in a battle.

Scoring Rules[]

A grade from B to S+ and points will be rewarded based on how effectively each area was cleared. Some rules are not applied to every event.

Managing Difficulty[]

Each event is divided into unlockable echelons, each of which allows for a different range of levels. You can adjust the level of the enemy you want to challenge. Higher levels will give more points but will also give the enemy increased stats and new abilities.

You can further increase the difficulty through the use of challenge options. Applying these options will provide a bonus to your final score. Challenge options are available for parties containing at least 1 EX awakened unit. The greater number of EX awakenings you have in your party, the more challenge option you can apply.

A total of 16 level in the party is required to activate all challenges for a maximum bonus of 300%.

The challenges available differ between each event. Possible challenges include: Increasing the enemy's parameters and resistance, decreasing player party's resistance or HP restoration, enemy HP locks or AI changes.

Morale Gauge[]

Morale Gauge reacts to both the player's and the boss's behavior during battle. When the morale gauge is affected during the boss's or the the player's turn, the projected change will appear in yellow. At the end of the player's turn, the gauge will shift. The total range is 200%, ranging between 200%/0% and 0%/200% enemy/player morale, respectively (non-percentage values changes between echelons). The morale gauge starts at 100%/100% but may be elsewhere depending on various factors, such as the total EX awakenings in your party or the echelon the player is in.

As morale changes, your team or your enemies may gain an advantage. Having high morale will raise your units stats, while having low morale will raise the enemy's stats instead. Some morale player actions and morale enemy actions can be used depending on current morale.

Players will have access to morale player actions which will not use up an unit's turn in battle. Morale player actions are charged automatically when the player have enough morale before the enemy's turn and will become available for use once it's charged. To use a morale player action, tap on the morale bar.

Similarly, morale enemy actions are charged when the enemy team has enough morale and will be used automatically by the enemy once it's charged.

Certain units will have abilities that affect the morale gauge directly, such as Elena's Legendary Heroine[1 turns cooldown, available on turn 1]'
Fill morale gauge (650). There are also conditions in battle that will influence morale, which differ between each event. Some common positive influences are: restoring HP/MP to allies, casting buffs, hitting the enemy's weakness or inflicting status ailments.

Exchange[]

You can exchange Xenostone Shards in the Special Shop for various items and crafting recipes. Additionally, there is a time-limited shop for each season of Clash of Wills, where the respective Obnixus Drops can be exchanged for various rewards, including units.

Fortuna Rewards[]

After completing a level, choose one of three random rewards. Once all your reward slots are filled, you may continue to replace 1 of them, or skip. Rewards become final and players receive these rewards at the end of the Clash of Wills event.
Each echelon has a different set of rewards, with better rewards being available on higher echelons. Additionally, the rates of obtaining "rare" rewards increase with every boss level, with the rates listed below corresponding to the lowest level of the respective echelon. The exact rates per level can be seen in-game on the Departure screen by clicking on "Obtainable Rewards".
