Unit[]
The following are some time-saving methods of quickly leveling your units:
- Keep in mind that unit exp is shared across all units that are brought along (excluding a friend unit if you bring one). If you want to lvl up a new unit quickly, you can power lvl the unit much faster if you limit your party to one (the one you plan to lvl up) plus your friend unit. Any K.O.'d units at the end of the mission are still awarded the full exp.

- The maximum bonus (5.1x) requires Notice of Appointment - Edel's Bodyguard, Growth Egg, Training Prajna (from Ramuh), Mog Blade, Tsukumo Doll, Mog Suit, and 4x Action (or EXP +50%).

Esper[]
- Supercites expeditions are by far the most efficient method to farm esper experience.
- Phantom Forest - Exploration has the best ratio of esper experience per energy, regardless of the esper, due to sheer amount of Green Magicite and Green Megacite it drops. See this | Reddit generated Spreadsheet
- Chamber of Crystals gives an average experience slightly below Phantom Forest, but is less of a time investment.
- Petra, Forest of Illusion - Exploration has a similar ratio of esper experience per energy as Phantom Forest, but is a smaller map that allows for more time efficient collecting.
Trust / Friendship Point / Gil[]
Any battle with lowest possible energy (not counting Colosseum) will do. Earth Shrine dungeons are both 1 energy, thus maximizing the gain per energy ratio.
- Each clear has a 10% chance to give 0.1% advancement for the Trust Master Reward. This gives a 0.01% average TMR per energy per unit, or five (5) separate tries to get a 0.01% average TMR per energy for a full party.
- Allies you bring with you will give Friendship Points (FP). Friends give 10 points, meaning a Friendship Point Summon (costs 200 FP) can be obtained with 20 energy. Non-friends give half that amount, meaning 40 energy per summon.
- During special events, friends give 50 points and non-friends 25 points, making the cost per summon 4 energy and 8 energy, respectively.
- You can level units from FP summoning to obtain good amounts of gil by selling the unit at maximum level. Farming summons this way can be very helpful from early levels, allowing you to have large amounts of gil and diverse units for combat.
- Farming mid- to high-level explorations are a good source of gil and unit experience per energy. Kill monsters to exhaust all encounters before moving onto the next exp zone in an exploration. The drawback is the time investment for doing a full clear of an exploration.
- Chamber of Riches - ELT will consistently give 85,000 gil.
- Gil Snappers obtained from the raid events' raid summons will result in much gil, but how much depends on how many summons you are able to perform.
- Obtaining Gil Maps from King Mog events will result in a Gil Snapper Tower, or 500,000 gil.
- Units that have Steal Gil/Pilfer and Gil Farmer/Master Thief +2 will greatly increase the amount of gil obtainable from farming story explorations and dungeons as well as any events.

For materials acquired from exploration harvest nodes, you can check the spreadsheets below (please know that these sheets are not 100% correct, as they need more runs added, so if you can send your run info to make a more precise information - The higher run number on the map means a more reliable source for that material)
- For Megacrysts of any color, Gronoa Shrine Depths/Exploration drops the most.

1 ~ 6 Unit Awakening Materials[]
- Every material used to awaken lower rarity units can be found in the Gil Shop.
- King Mog will sell 100 of various awakening materials for 3000-4000 event currency.
Megacrysts (Fire, Ice, Lightning)[]
- Harvesting at Surging Volcano - Exploration gives the most fire megacryst per energy and time.
- Harvesting at Snowy Woods - Exploration gives the best ice megacryst drop per energy (~0.16/NRG).
- Harvesting at Societal Ruins - Exploration gives the best lightning megacryst drop per energy.
- Harvesting at Realm of the Dragon King gives the best total number of all megacryst drop per energy.{{#tip-info: However, it's a larger and much more difficult time sink.}}
- If only one particular type is needed a less energy efficient method is the Chamber of the Fallen (e.g. 10 energy for 1 Light by defeating Attack of Antenolla).
