Rumors of fearsome beasts have been going around for ages, with the occasional missing persons report to corroborate the tales. The architeuth, however, is considerably larger and more violent than any creature previously reported, leading some to believe that its appearance is related to the destruction of the crystal.

- Use magic that hits multiple targets like Thundaga and Firaga to kill the tentacles first
- Using Bladeblitz or Blitz (FFXIII) with Fire/Lightning elemental weapons are also efficient to kill the tentacles.
