A variety of mandragora. These monsters are always in a foul mood and they are said to grow from soil that has been soaked in the blood of the fallen. They are red as blood themselves, but their heads have sprouted a drill-like protuberance rather than the more common leaves. They are often seen in fields and forests. They disappear before natural disasters as though they have some sort of precognitive sense, and when threatened, they also release a blood-curdling shriek like the common mandragora.
